Sky HD, Sky +, and recording from your mobile

    Hi,

    I have been thinking about getting Sky HD but that it was expensive. Then I discovered that Sky HD and Sky + fuctionality. I was wondering dows anyone know if you can setup recordings from your mobile to Sky HD as well as to Sky +. If this is possible then I will definitly get it

    Maybe the 'Mobile Phone' forum may know more on this issue.

    There are two ways to use your mobile. By text looks straight forward. Using Sky Active then you will need a compatible smartphone and your service provider may also have a bearing on it. In the UK you must be a Vodafone or Orange subscriber.

    A compatible smartphone can cost more than the HD box!

    I setup the remote recording by mobile for my Sky+. I'm with Vodafone. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be the same for the HD box. BTW I only paid €175 for my mobile so not quite as expensive as the box in my case;) Sky+ is free if you subscribe to 2 premium channels and €15 a month if you don't. Can't remember off hand how much HD is.
