Merc heating vents

The centre console vent only ever blows cool air, regardless of whether I have the heat switched on. The windscreen vent and the driver & passenger vents are fine, though. Does anyone know if they're run on a different system or something?

    Cheers.

Thats the merc standard design since about 1903! The air is drawn in directly from the outside via the fan.

    Which model do you have?

The heating and demisting on newer mercs seems to be a major source of problems. My 04 270ml demister is not working Im dreading going to a main dealer.

It's a W208... if that's the way it's supposed to be, then grand. I just thought I had blown something some how :)

    Thanks!
