Has to be just a router.. in other words it has a WAN port and not in integrated DSL modem... too many people make that mistake. You CAN get it working but only messing about and using static IP's and its a pain.

See a few posts down on free wireless routers...

Get one with a built in ATA adapter, wish I had known before I bought mine! You can use voip and your regular dect phone then, and save a bomb. have a look here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=542

i already have the wireless capabilites on my laptops/wii so i dont need a pc card.

Just because it comes with the PCI card, doesn't mean you have to use it.

    what you mean?
im not sure if its a PCI card...........theress a switch on the side of the laptop, which if you turn on wirelessly enables the laptop[mine]

my brothers, you just put the wireless manually on through the computer

The way you posted above about already having the PCI card I thought you were dismissing buying the one on the PC World website. I reckon it should be fine for your needs, and it's cheap at under €50.
