Heading to Leopardstown 2moro but will have to be on my toes to keep up with the action across the water, quality across the boards! Game Spirit has to be the race of the day for me

Case could be made for a number of these, Well Chief looks value at 7/2 if anywhere near his best

i think it would be a huge ask for the horse to win this race as he is against the champion chase favourite and highly fancied horse. i think the horse could do it but it is a risk, hence why the horse is 7/2:) i wonder wat the bookies would cut the price to of well chief and voy por to if it won tomoro... hopefully nickname would drift:)

Todays racing is unreal, top class action both here and in England, i cant wait.

The Denman, Kauto Star, Aran Concerto treble will be popular id say and rightly so as all 3 will take some stopping. Barring accidents i cant see any of them being troubled.

the Tote Gold Trophy (im too stuck in my ways for that totesport rubbish) looks as tricky as ever. Acambo should run a big race but ill be surprised if something isnt well enough handicapped to beat him. Quatres Heures looks absolutely lined up for this imo but is pretty highly weighted for what he has done. The other horse i think is sure to run well is New Field, he ran a cracker lto in the Pierce and has a nice weight on what will be testing ground.

Then on to the big race of the day, the Game Spirit, everybody cant wait to see Well Chief back and i only hope he retains all his old ability. Voy Por Ustedes looked to have it easy this year with Kauto Star tackling longer distances but now he has 2 top class 2 milers back in action to deal with. Ashley Brook hacked up on his reapperance over hurdles but he hasnt jumped a fence in a long time and there is the possibility he could bounce. I have to side with Well Chief who has pounds in hand on his old form and amazingly under the conditions is getting 10lbs off VPU.

The bumpers at Leopardstown and Sandown should be very interesting and by tonight we will have a new Champion Bumper fav, either Mad Fish or the winner in England in what looks a tough one to call.

At 25/1 Sleeping Night is a great value e/w bet in the AON (Newbury 2.40). He's useful in his own right, and will handle the trip and ground, and only has L'Ami to beat for the place money for me - and Doumen states that this is to get him right for March.

    :)

The Listener, no need to explain.

Victram, each way, nice price at 16/1, has a 7lb claimer on board, is going off a mark thats 1 lb less than when he was 3rd behind Acambo and tarlac in Ascot a while ago. Carrying a few lbs less than that day too.

The Well Chief race has to be a watching brief today. VPU hasn't much to prove but we have no idea whether Well Chief will be near as good as he once was. AShley Brook confirmed his well being a few weeks back but things will of course be a lot harder today and noone can know exactly how good he still is. You'd just be guessing by having a bet today and that's not ideal.

I'll probably have a bet on liberthine and New Field and just enjoy the rest.

The Listener and Ashley Brook double is very appealing given the ground concerns for their rivals. Pedrobob and New Field make for very attractive each way bets, as does Farmer Brown at 8s, while Minella Tipperary should go close if it can reproduce previous form at home.

very strong word for chelsea harbour in the 2.55 today. word from the connections is that it is has "come on" since last win. Very progressive sort. its currently @ 5/1, so fill the scatchels for chelt!

Got a tip for Minella Tipperary today. 5/1 with ladbrokes is the best price i found.
Best bet of the day for me is Tranquil Sea in the bumper at leopardstown.Well backed already as the word is that Mad Fish is goin to be taking out.

I was told that Mad Fish wouldn't be winning. Strange one

Denman very impressive, jumped well the whole way round.

    2/1 for the RASC

Well done to Andrew Mac on Beef r Salmon on a great win today.Backed him today as I figured M. Hourigan would not like to get beaten twice by the listener. My only problem is that as I'v followed that horse so many times and always backed it for Chelt(lost each time) and now I will have to back it again....The funny thing is immediately after the Gold Cup I always say Im never backing that horse in the Gold cup again...then come the next years race I always back him..Could this be the year for the mighty Beef with the ground probably going to be the most suited ground that he will want(and possibly get) at the festival?????. I certainly will not be backing Kauto Star at that price with his dodgy jumping mistakes>he's not proven around Chelt just like the good all BEEF

Cost me big-time as had The Listener in all my multiples (the lads with me were about to throw their Beef dockets away) but got an unreal roar from the crowd! Fair play to Andy Mac alright

paid 7/4 which was decent enough.

Well Chief at 11/4 was very tasty and never in doubt during the race plus PP had Kauto Star at 6/4 to win by up to + inc 8 lengths, not a bad day at all.
