    right,

Ive been seeing this giril for about 3 months now ( I Know its not long at all!). When I first met her I was really in to her, she was almost everything I would look for in a girl. But recently it has become more of an effort to see her rather than wanting to actaully see her which cant be good. Dont get me wrong, I really like this girl, but not in a BF GF kind of way.

The problem is, I think she is far more in to me romanticaly than I am her. Every time she is around me she seems to be very happy and is constantly one the phone to me in some way, and keeps telling me that she really likes me.

However I think it is time that I called it, I dont want it to escalate into something that its not. I just dont want to hurt her in any way because she is such a nice person and I would feel so guilty if I really upset her!

Has any one got any advice they could give me please! (by the way this is my first real GF so ive never really done the break up thing!)

    Much Appreciated,

You will end up hurting her more by stringing her along. There is no easy way to breakup with someone, especially if the person who is really into you. Let her down gently.

    christ

just tell her you dont like her in that way

if she is into you as much as you say, she will get hurt no matter what way you say it

there have been an awful lot of these threads lately

Hmmm.....you say you don't like her in a GF BF sort of way, but you call her your GF in the title and you also say she is your first GF. Does she think she's your GF?

Don't lead her on OP. Be honest with her. She will be hurt, but it will hurt her more if you just go on letting think that she is your GF when she is not.

As the others have said, honesty is the best pollicy. Keep it simple but honest. Be prepared for tears and "but why's" and allow a bit of time to talk things over. Then leave it. Stay away for a while to allow her time to feel lousy and hurt and recover.

Just let her down gently. Better she comes out of this with a bruised ego than a broken heart. Not fair to string her along if you're not keen.

you can trail her along but eventually she'll flip on you, and by that stage you'll get hurt, not from liking her so much...more from the empty space left behind...I'm sorry personal experience coming through i think

'I was just in the exact same position as the poster. I was going out with a girl for about 8/9 months. It was great at the start but in my position I started to lose interest. I still loved her as a friend but not as a "Girlfriend". I came to a crossroads where either I could go along with it and see what trouble lay ahead or just get out. She really liked me, I was the first guy that didn't treat her badly. She regained her trust in men. But I broke it off, it was awful. She began to hate herself. I feel like a complete dickhead now. I recommend you break it off as soon as possible. Don't go through the **** I'm going through now.'

You should definitely call it. It actually bugs me whe I hear stories about lads leading girls on and Im sorry but this is whats seems to be happening here. I know you're not out to hurt her but if she likes you as much as you think then this is exacltly whats going to happen

    Do the right thing mate;)
