    Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a 2nd sky+ box and I was just wondering what brand of Sky+ boxes are being shipped these days? Is there more than one brand being shipped?

    Thanks,
    Marc.

AFAIK Thomson is the only brand that exists

For a straight sky box there are a few manufacturers , pace , panasonic etc.

I think its the same for Sky + , Ive seen panasonics and I think my friend has a pace , not sure ,

But for the sky HD box , its a black and grey Thompson , not very attractive , but they have exclusive manufacturing rights at the moment so thats all there is.

It's fine, but there's a 2 second delay AFTER pressing your desired channel.

I have a Panasonic for FTV in another room and it's shhit-quick, very impressive.

Yup, for Sky+ there is Thomson or Pace.

Thomson's only for the HD bosca.

The Panasonic boxes are no longer made unfortunately, they've been out of production a few years now, which is a shame.

Yeah, I think the current ones all look very similar.

I think the Sky+ boxes are to be all given the "Flow" look, the same as the current standard boxes in the next few months.
