Well don't get Red Steel if other boards users opinions are anything to go by. I like the madden games usually, but I don't know how the wiimote is used for this one. Could be interesting maybe?

Madde3n on the Wii is supposed to be really good, I didnt realise it was released over here.

I have it and it is very good.
Single player franchise is nice and multiplayer games are a good laugh.
Wii remote goes very well with it, I can't see myself playing it on a Playstation anymore.

Good review of Madden 07 on the Wii here...

I think the general concensus is that if you have any interest in American football games, or the Madden games in particular, then it has never been as good as this one. Any reviews I've seen of it have pretty much been glowing, full of praise for how EA have basically re-invigorated a franchise that was slowly killing itself off with lacklustre updates.

I've not played a Madden game since the MegaDrive, and have been sorely tempted to try this, and would do if I didn't have to keep a close eye on my funds for the next while...

With introduction of all those spin effects, weather stuff relating to the weather in that particular area (via the weather channel) i might have to think about it... last sports game i bought was NBA Jam for the Megadrive.

Its very good i've had some great close fought games, the NFL hall of fame and Franchise modes are also good, easy to get the hang of with the Wiimote i've spent countless hrs playin it love the game and I'm not a huge NFL fan either

As said above can't see myself playin the PS2 version anymore

Do you think NFL street would be any good on the Wii?

Great game one of the better titles out on the machine at the moment, shows how great the wii can handle port overs from other machines. Multiplayer games are brilliant and i owul recommend buyin this over most wii titles at the mo.

for such a good game it seems to have been overlooked on thse shores

How does the wiimote work in the game? Do you have to mime-throw it to pass to the WRs etc or is it by buttons?

You move around with the nunchuck and also juke (while running) by shakin to the left or right.
The D-Pad is used for your targets (WR, TE, RB) like X, O, Square, Triangle for the Playstation. To throw you have to swing the Wii-mote down.

    These should help you understand

seems to be sold out most places, ended up getting it on hmv.co.uk for 35 sterling, used a discount code WT8747 and it knocked a fiver off it, so 31.50 sterling or around 47euroish for it.... not too shabby!

    looking forward to playing it!

I spent half the weekend playing it, it's great. Wii controls work very well with it.
