    The Who? (:

Would the distance be easily walkable after the gig? Taxis are generally thin on the ground, would it be longer say than the walk from the point back into city or would it be more like walking in from the RDS, ouch... My lack of Cork knowledge is shocking and shameful!

The Marquee is only a relatively short walk back into the city centre. I think it MAY be moving closer to the city as well this year.

Excellent this all sounds good thanks for the help. Now just the small matter of convincing people that they want to go down to Cork... It's only what 4 hours from Galway? Slayer are worth it though...

The Marquee is what it says it is, a big tent that fits about 5000 people. plenty beer available and you can drink it inside at the gig. I was at Roger Waters last year and I hope to go to one of the gigs again this year. Stayed in the Imperial Hotel, would stay there again.
