Don't have anything really good to say about this.. watched it last night and 'Office Space' it was not!

Just downright horribly unfunny from start to finish.. with Luke Wilson being particularly wooden in the main role.

Some good cameos in there, but very very disappointing all the same. I can see exactly why it was pulled from cinemas... don't know the full story around it but think i recall it being to poor test screenings.

Get out 'Office Space' on DVD and re-watch it... believe me, 'Idiocracy' really was a waste of 84 minutes.

    Anyone else see it?

I loved it but then maybe I was in the right mood. Who knows. I thought there were lots of good laugh out loud moments in it. Far from perfect but there are people out there who think the American Pie movies or the Scary Movie movies are hilarious. I'll take this any day of the week thanks.
Nothings perfect. Look at the trailer for the Fuzz. Simon Pegg leaps over a fence. I wonder what his fat mate is going to do. Joke signposted but still amusing and as it's Simon Pegg the comic genius eveyone will quote the scene to prove it.
Idiocracy loses alot of steam in the latter part but early on there are some great ideas in there about how society could degrade.
TV shows called "Ow My Balls", the Film of the year call "ASS", the justice system based on a Judge Judy type show, the hospital with diagnostic machines and no actuall Doctors that know what to do. Buildings held together by giant metal knots, clocks flashing 12:00 on buildings and so on.
Well worth a look if you ask me.

I kinda liked it actually. Not brilliant, but not as horrible as basquille suggested.

I thought it was forgettable rubbish myself. I can barely remember a lot of it after watching it last night. Not the sign of a good film :p

I'm just after watching it. While it's no where near as good as Office Space, Idiocracy is far from the disaster most people are calling it. Compare it to other recant comedies, such as Scary Movie 4 and Date Movie and it holds up pretty well.

I would agree with this. Just don't watch it expecting "Office Space 2".

anyone seen this? it's about a guy in the us army (and a hooker) who gets frozen in a cryo pod and wakes up 500 years later when the population of the usa (or the earth, wasn't too sure on that point) has become incredibly stupid, leaving him as the smartest guy on the planet.

wasn't expecting too much, but i was pleasantly surprised. Nothing amazing but well worth watching. Loved the president.. don't know the guys name but he is brilliant in everything I've seen him in.

That sounds like a low budget type flick. Where there any zombies? :p. But it sounds like 'Forever young' a bit. :o

Woah. Woah. They were supposed to be comedies?

Date movie was absolutely terrible alright - even the rare, the vaguely funny jokes were ruined by OTT milking - although I thought Scary Movie 4 was quite good.

Epic movie out this Friday, too...

I think we may have a case of false advertising.

Wasnt a big fan of the movie but a big fan of Mike Judge so I think my summation was tempered by that.
My real problem with the movie was that it was just really really annoying to watch. The ideas were interesting, funny, and it was pitched at a nice pace for a light comedy.
The way that they portrayed the morons of the future throughout the movie just made me want to bash my head in with a large igneous rock.
Every scene was hung as a platform to show how dumb people are. After a while this eroded the plot and the movie just watered down to mush, which is what my brain was feeling like after laughing at a bunch of people laughing at a fart.
