I'm travelling to Asia in a few weeks, specifically Japan, China and home on the train across Russia.

Does anybody know if any vaccinations are required for this?

I did some of those a couple of years back. I got a few standard ones like Yellow Fever, Hep A and Tetanus. If you are not travelling to remote parts of China then you'll probably have no problems but better to be safe I suppose!!

Take a look at www.travelvax.net, think they reommend vaccinations for different regions etc....

Enjoy!! Its great part of the world.....

    Hi

Im organising a working holiday to Japan this summer, then travelling around China (Shanghai, Tibet, Xi'an, Beijing) and then getting the Trans-Mongolian with a stopover in Ulaan Baatar, Then on to Moscow (might visit St. Petersburg too). Im actually looking for people to take part, even just meeting up out there and just doing the travel with them.

You dont need any vaccinations for any of these countries although it may be advisable to get them anyway.

To arrange vaccinations call the Dun Laoghaire Medical Centre
    5 Northumberland Ave
    Dun Laoghaire
    Co. Dublin
    Telephone number: 01/280 4996

Also how are you booking/arranging your travel arrangements?
