Cricinfo reports (linked below) that plans are afoot to hold some ODIs between India and Australia in Ireland this summer. All 3 games are to be in Stormont on June 27, June 29 and July 1. Nothing is confirmed yet.

A pity they'll all be in Belfast, but AFAIK Clontarf is not yet rated for ODIs.

Splendid news, chances of getting a ticket immediately go down!

Clontarf did host a match in the 1999 World Cup (WI v Bang)

I think you're mistaken here, I was at a world cup match there when England were hosting, between West Indies and Bangladesh.
I agree would be nice if they held one there though, might be a possibility if nothing is confirmed as yet, fingers crossed.

Nope, Clontarf is not rated for ODIs - the world cup game was a one-off with special dispensation.

Any ideas about getting tickets for these games?

Will there be any chance of any of the 2 teams playing a game against Ireland?

I'm guessing that Ticketmaster might be involved - otherwise from the ICU.

I doubt that Ireland will get to play, as this is a "made-for-Indian-TV" series.

for the ireland - england game last year, all the tickets were sold through the cricket clubs, this series not involving ireland means that maybe ticketmaster will be involved but hopefully the ICU will keep control of the ticket sales and keep it for the clubs (no nasty booking fees). the set-up in stormont was excellent apart from the underestimation of the thirst of the fans, there was only 1 bar and the queues were fairly horrific, hopefully they'll have learnt from that but it's a great little ground.

I'd agree with you on this Derek, all was good apart from the Bar situation. It could have simply been remedied by setting up 2 other bars, one behind the press area and one near the Pavilion.

One other gripe I'd have is that the seats could have been a bit bigger too - the "fuller-figured" gentlemen like myself didn't have a lot of room for expansion! :D

Yes, it is. It staged a CWC game in 99 (Windies v Bangladesh, if I remember correctly). Stormont just has a larger capacity by two or three thousand.
