Hello, I recently purchased a microkorg.
I expected a few cables to come with it..but there is not.

Can the Microkorg be used as a midi controller?
As far as i know..I need a Midi interface adapter...to connect it to my mac.
But when it is connected..can it be used to control my software synths??

    please help

Yes, when you have it connected it can control your soft synths. As for connecting it it depends what hardware you have. Im not too up to date with mac hardware but on a pc you wont find a midi input on a standard soundcard, they are pretty much reserved for the more music making orientated soundcards than your home entertainment soundcards. To get past this you can buy one of these. Be warned though if your soundcard doesnt have low latency drivers then there will be a noticable delay form when you strike a key on your korg and when the sound from the computer plays.

Thanks beecher..my mind is now at ease :D

I got around the delay issue with my last controller by turning down the buffer size, but only when i was using it.
