I LIKE 2 3 AND 4. THE SILVER LOOKS GREAT, SEEN ONE ON WRECKS TO RICHES LAST WEEK, IT WAS PAINTED IN ITS ORIGINAL BLUE . THE SAME COLOUR AS YOURS,.. UNLESS THE CAR IS STRAIGHT AS A DIE , BLACK WILL SHOW UP EVERY SMALL DEFECT.... I LIKE BLACK CARS THOUGH . ITS YOUR CHOICE DUDE

That car looks mean in black...

As chevyv8 said, black will show any bodywork defects, plus its a bitch of a clour to keep clean, but it looks menacing :cool:
Silvers not bad, or options 1 or 6.
Black gets my vote tho'. Put it to a poll

I like the grey, it would look good with the black roof, although the paint doesn't look bad at all on the original.
?, how did you paint all those colours,I'd have never known they weren't original?

Thanks Dubtom... I use an application called photoshop... The car does look good in the picture but trust me it needs a new paint job..Partly cause it had Waxoyl all over it when i bought it and i couldn't get it off without sanding down.Anyway long story short it needs a new paint job!!! and id like to have her ready for the summer...
So I'd like to get an idea from everyone what colour they think suits it best!!! It looks like black is becoming a fav for everyone here. But any more suggestions r ideas are very welcome!!!! Ill take a count of the choices in a few days and see which stands out as fav..

Camarobill, ill be the first to stand up and say i made a mess of the car... But hey at least i tried!!!!And learnt my lesson...
The original colour isnt a blue guys its a marron and i think a yellow..Either one i dont like so.... Keep voting guys!

Personally I would like the 1st colour if it was a tad deeper (not much) .... just a bit more vibrant, but not garish like the blue one a few pictures down.

If it was mine, I would be thinking the last colour for sure, but again slightly lighter ... IMO Aqua (green/blue) colours look fantastic on US cars, complemented by a white roof.

Dude . The Final Choice Of Colour Is Up To You, Black Is Fantastic, But It Is Major Work To Keep Clean And Polished. Its A Days Work As I Know Having A Few Black Cars Myself. But Black Cars Look Menacing.. Whatever You Do ,the Final Choice Is Yours And You Are The Dude Driving It

I don't mind stripes once they're on a car that should have them. Having said that, I think the stripes would look much better in a single colour - I don't like the gradient at all, even if it is original.

I do like the stripes, just not the colours of them. That red car would look a lot more striking with a solid white stripe instead of the sunburst type colours.

I do prefer originality, though the dark colours look great on cars with a lot of chrome !

At the end of the day you need to do it in a colour that does not provolk the thought "I wish I had painted it...XYZ"

Somebody mentioned a darker blue, say like the Shelby Mustangs, that would be nice !

If you do go dark, all the ripples from the last 30 odd years will be highlighted unless someone spends a considerable amount of time chasing each one out ! Also a stripe can hide a lot of this and draw your eye elsewhere !

Is there a gunmetal type colour that is somewhat original ?

HEY DUDE , IF YOU ARE THINKING BOUT STRIPES, HOW ABOUT TURNING THEM AROUND ,... DARK IN THE FRONT, AND FADING , FADING FADING FADING TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE CAR... THAT WOULD GIVE IT A BETTER LOOK . What Do U Think??? Try Bringing Different Shades Of Black Fading To A Grey. Like A Slow Fade , Think A White Pinstripe Around It May Work, Try It . Get Back Onto Photoshop And See What You Come Up With,.
