    Hi,

I'm running the PKR Student Poker Tour and hope you may be interested. We have $30k in prizes to give away including weekly student only $500 freerolls. More details can be found at www.pkrstudent.com.

At present we are getting less than 100 players in these freerolls and the top 2 each week get a place in the semi-final.

    Prizes include:

    - A seat in a European Poker Tour event worth $6,000 plus flights, accommodation and spending money for the winner and three friends.
    - An LCD HD ready TV.
    - An iPod with docking station.
    - A next-gen games console (the winner's choice of either a Wii or PS3).
    - $17,500 in online & live freerolls.
    - $1,500 in prize money for the losing finalists.

    Any questions fire away

"PKR Student Poker Tour is free to enter and exclusive to students living in the UK."

So how exactly would most of the students reading this qualify?

Thats a mistake on the website, all are free to enter and indeed win.

Apologies - I'll get it fixed.

They could've thought that Ireland was part of the UK. I met some English lad a few months ago who thought that. Funny stuff. He was pretty shocked when he found out it wasn't.

    3d poker eh?

If you did qualify for the london grand final, would pkr be paying for flights/accom or whats the story?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18 crashbang

Yes - we'll fund the transportation and accomodation for the finalists plus three friends each. The final will be at a plush london venue with after drinks and after party.

Currently just over 100 playing in the weekly $500 tournaments with 2 semi-final seats up for grabs each week...

Do you have to sign up a new account using that link or can you play if you already have a PKR account?

No Irish colleges are available in the drop down menu. Might want to fix that if you want us to sign up.

    To answer a few questions:

    - I've now added the Irish colleges and uni's I could find. This list may not be exhaustive so please email me at students@pkr.com if any are missed off the list. If you want to play in tonights freeroll and your uni not ther register with any college and then just email me with your correct college.

    - Yes you can play if you are a student but you've already registered on PKR. Again email students@pkr.com with your username from a student email address or with your current student number and we'll transfer your account.

To play in tonights $500 freeroll please email students@pkr.com with your username by 6pm and I'll make sure you can be part of the tour. Two seats to the semi-final up for grabs each week as well as leaderboard points.

    Cheers,
    Andy
