Losing LNB when switching between Vertical and Horizontal

Scenario: Old-ish Sky dish with quad LNB pointed at 28.2E, new 80cm dish pointed at 19.2E, generic LNB (Lidl I think), diseqc switch, generic receiver.

Switching channels on 28.2E is no problem.

However if I am on 19.2E and switching channels I very regularly "lose" the LNB, in that the signal/quality indicators drop to zero, and usually I have to off/on the receiver to get the LNB back. From what I can tell this only really happens if switching between channels that are vertical and horizontal... ie it never happens when I am flicking between channels of the same polarization.

Suggestions as to what the problem could be please, as it's doing my head in!

Sounds like the LNBF is on the way out and the 13/18V switching is acting up. To be sure, bypass the Diseqc switch by connecting the receiver directly to the Lidl LNBF and see if the same problem still occurs.
