New Sky Install - No Phone Line

I probably know the answer to this but ill ask anyway...

Am moving house in the next two weeks. I was hoping to get Sky HD or Sky+ at the minimum installed. Have standard sky install at present in current house and never had a phone line hooked up to it. I ordered a phone line off eircom on Jan 8th, but they cant install it till 2008 (Feckin muppets the lot of them.. giving me crap about planning permission etc.. even though the house is wired already and neighbours got theirs in within a few weeks)

So my question is, what can I get installed without a phone line at present?

You can get regular Sky installed without a phoneline.
You need a phone to get Sky+ or HD (Sorry... I'm in the same boat as you)

I bought a Sky+ box second hand on eBay, and got the card paired to the Sky+ box (and Plus features activated), even though it is not, nor ever will be connected to the phoneline.

Of course, when you want to get the subsidised box, you're bound by the T&C, such as a phoneline connection.

BTW, 2008 before you can have a phone? That's a tad mad in the 21st century!
