    Hi All,

My old headphones which cost me 80 pounds and were my pride and joy are falling to pieces. There is more brown tape than headphone left. I want to replace them and have a budget of 100 or less. Any ideas?

    Anyone know much about these?

    Thanks

Edit - this guy seems to like them.

Had the HD595 the bigger brother of this model and i liked it, pretty good all rounder but when i moved up to a HD650 they sounded very muddy in comparison, but overall a great headphone for the price.I would also take into consideration the Allesandro MS1 $99 shipped , its also an excellent headphone .Note that if your a basshead none of these headphones would be any good for you,the base is there but its tight ,the way its meant to be.
Both of these headphones are open so if you want isolation forget about it, both are not exactly portable either.

Thanks Padi - will investigate that recomendation. Dont really need to be portable or mask outside noise. I understand this makes them more expensive. What is wrong with the bass on these models?

Doesnt make headphones more expensive if they are open they are just a different type to closed, depends on your needs.
Nothing wrong with the base on either of the headphones mentioned, its just most people require big bass in their headphones whih in all honesty drowns out the mid range and highs which takes so much from the music,i hate it to be honest.
Stick up what type of music you like to listen to etc, maybe you do like bass but you can get great headphones with great base thats not boomy.Il give you a rundown of what to look into, and the type of presentation the phones give.
For 100 euro the 555 or MS1 are great all rounders.
Oh and your better off buying overseas ,prices here are just a joke.

For even better value its worth checking out headfi for sale section, here is an example, good price and people baby their gear so they will be as good as new.

Thanks - will check it out. If I could get a nice clean second hand pair of sennheiser 650's that would be nice.
