This is like the sh1t that's been happening to me for the past two months, luckily not near this level. Flops the nuts and get outdrawn with a badly played draw.
What do people think of Halibut's play here? I thought Halibut was a big time, high stakes winning player but what was in doing in the hand to a raise and call with Q2 sooted and then to get it all in on the 3rd nut flush draw? Was he on tilt or something?

He had a suited queen on the big blind, so he's pot committed to any raise straight away. And when you play Q2h, that is the flop you want. Money goes in, end of story.

Straddlefor6, is calling with any suited queen on the BB after a cold-called 4xBB raise normal in Limerick?

3$ rake! no point in these guys having much of a rake back deal ey!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,212 ✭✭✭MrPillowTalk

There was a lot of history from the previous hour of play between eskobar and I where we had traded 8k pots 3 times, Kimino was the biggest tard Ive played in a while on that table. The game was vvvvveeeerrrry laggy during this period. If I flop a pair and a flush draw the money goes in once Ive raised, esks range is huge here as well.

He had been gloating after two bad beats he had put on me earlier, it was nice to rub it in a bit lol.

    .

    lols

BTW, I better clarify that I'm not slating halibut at all, as I'm sure he always has good reasons for whatever he does (as indicated by MPTs post). But for the average player, preflop would be horrible here.

I think its a bad call preflop for any player, it doesnt really mean anything in isolation though
