    Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a tried and tested method for keeping a book dry out in the wild as it were. I m planning on doing a bit of backpacking and I would like to keep some essentials like a diary bone dry, I was thinking a standard zip lock back should do the trick but would appreciate any feedback from anyone whos had experience doing the same or similar.

    Cheers,

    PDD

Depends how wild you intend to go. If it is just a book, so if it does get wet it is not the end of the world try a drybag from wiggle.co.uk. Putting it in a ziplock as well is a good plan.
Keep an eye out in lidl they do a good cheap dry bag, not book size but ideal for putting wet gear in and then throwing in your boot etc.

I use the pocket notebook version. Get a proper pen from them too - It's worth it. Photocopy it and stick the copies in your annual journal if you'd like when you get back from your trips. Or cut out the pages if you only use one side.

You'll need to get drybag and then put anything you have to keep dry in a plastic bag inside aswell. Seal Line is one brand i've had good experience with while sea kayaking. Google or Great Outdoors.
