Anyone using Hibernate out there? I would be very interested in getting insights from anybody who has used Hibernate sitting on top of Oracle

    Hey sicruise,

Yeah, its a great tool. Almost the same difference :) Were working solely with tables or also with Stored Procedures in MySQL. This is the issue I want to address with Hibernate. Basically these stored procedures have signatures, sometimes the parameters are all simple types VARCHARS, INTEGERS, etc. However the problem is when a parameter is a complex type such as a Row Record Type or a Table Type.

Now I could flatten this out into its constituent simple elements (done this using XQuery with a Pragma SQL statement), however I would like Hibernate to be able to handle this complex type.

That being said I'm really getting in to Hibernate, especially when used with Spring.
