Keeps turning itself off, this happened to anyone else?

Its happening to me too, I found some info over at http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=533879&page=1&pp=25 Seems to be happening to a lot of people.

This started happening to me just this afternoon. Every 7mins(approx) the Sky Box(Grundig) repeatedly turned itself off. However I noticed if I left it on the Sky Welcome channel(998) it did not happen so I new it was not the box. I have the ordinary Sky Box for over 2 years and never have it connected to the phone line so I connected it to the phone line for about half an hour and this seemed to have fixed it, no turn off's since. I suspect they wanted to do a software upgrade or something.


Update: Checked DigitalSpy, apparently it was a widespread problem with selected box's. PPl are saying Sky are aware of the problem and it appears to be fixed so me pluging in the phone line and it working may have just been conincidence. Anyway all appears well now.

Happened to me aswell at about 17:30

I was just about to post a new thread about this. Anyone any ideas ?

Thanks lads,sky must have been doing something alright if we were all getting turned off at the same time.Everything is fine again now.
