Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

    My mam has sadly suffered from depression for a long, long time now. One the biggest effects it has on her is panic attacks, which just seem to be taking her daily life over more and more.
    From the little I know about Cognitive Therapy I think it might help her a lot with this problem at least, but as a family not exactly flush with money, going to a private therapist isn't really an option. Does anyone know if Cognigitve Therapy is available anywhere to medical card holders?

    I believe there is an excellent CT based at st james hospital in dublin, I have no idea of waiting times however and his name escapes me. Private therapists do a sliding scale on prices for those restricted financially so that might be a route to look at too
