Does anyone have an up to date listing of poker tournaments that are held in Kildare. Want to get out more to live tournaments but would prefer to stay local.

You must be from the Celbridge/Maynooth area,

I used to play in the Village inn game when it was a €25 +1 rebuy.
But its wasn't a great game. Blinds blinds doubled every 10 mins, it was all-in or fold. Has it got any better

It is a pub tournry... so it's not what you'd get in a club !

The double chance is comming into effect this week and i expect it'll improve the game alot... The same format was used as a christmas special and it worked out well. I expect 1st prize will be 1k plus most weeks. I'd be supprised if there is a better pub game around.

The final table is crapshoot-tastic.. fold or push type stuff but for a school night game thats finished by 12:30 i think it's good value, and beatable. There is STTs for those who get KOed early... Pleasant night without a trip into town.

Favourities run a 100+10 FO on Tuesday, i haven't played it so can't really comment but they do tend to run a good tourney.

I agree that it is by far the best pub tourney. middle stages have alot of play in them, I would just like to see it rushed then and slowed for the final table, instead of the other way around.
    But prizepool is good,
When I started working late on tuesday, i came up at the break and played $20 STTs, defo better value, made up of bad players who were KO'd early and good players given bad beats and are on uber tilt. ran a very nice profit in these when I stopped playing the main game.

Yep. Game in Town House pretty good and well run. Monthly game with dealers also good. Keep up the good work lads!!... New card club rumoured to be opening in Kilcullen within the next few weeks...

Also weekly game in Maddenstown, 'Larkins Pub'...well run, (only played once), good cash game after tourney.

Thursday night in Mctiernans..weekly.. played this once...great cash game (mad stuff!) Not sure of structures for any of these....

Hope this enlightens you a bit more slegs although personally a 30 min drive to the 'big smoke' might pay off a bit better.
