As you may or may not know the computer society of the University of Limerick (Skynet) is hosting a conference based on the free software community.

SkyCon itself, is a three day event that will encompass many diverse
aspects of IT. It will cater for people who are interested in areas
ranging from open source side of computer development, to commercial
software such as Microsoft and Oracle, and debates on software patent
    issues.

In addition to these big name companies many leading Open Source programmers from around the world shall also be
travelling to Limerick for the three-day conference. In total, thirty
talks are planned, with topics ranging from "Electronic Voting in
Ireland; past and future" to "Mobile Internet: its future, the
challenges and the Open Source solutions".

More information can be found at www.skycon.skynet.ie along with the registration page. Hope to see you there!
