will there be a UCD shoot

I was just wondering if UCD are hosting an IV this year. I took a look at the calendar and it looks like it will be a bit of a squeeze to fit it in before the finals on 31st of March. Does anyone know any more about it??

That's a direct Quote from the UCD club message board dated the 30th of January.

Why it didnt occur to them to tell the rest of us over the past 6 days is a complete mystery to me.

Thanks Baggins, I'm really glad that someone told us.

So I'm just speculating that this now means that UL aren't hosting the finals, like we always do. I'm really not impressed with the fact that UCD didn't even ask if it was ok to move the finals to a different IV. And I suppose that I can go and cancel the order we placed for the end of year trophies.

Has anyone from UCD contacted teh clubs to confirm the date of their competition?

Looks like its on the same day as Hans training. I know it doesn't effect most people but it will effect Gavain and Macdarra

If effect more then that, there is also Niall Doyle, Harry Lyster, Mairead C., me, and some others. This is the second IV planned for a training weekend, I thought the whole idea of the calender meeting was that dates would not overlap. This obviously hasn't worked.

Also is that not cutting it a bit fine? I duno about other colleges but that'll be UL going into our last week of lectures. Our IV's were usually around week 9 and that was bad enough if you have projects and the like but week 12?

I prob won't be able to go if I have too much college work.

If there are many others like this it mightn't be much of a shoot

UL has always been the last IV. If UCD want to have a later IV and do trophies, that can be decided at a meeting of the IV captains. They cannot (in my humble opinion :rolleyes: ) arbritrarily decide to host the last IV, especially if UL has already got the orders in for the trophies. They have told nobody of this, so I say it's their problem.

This happened for our IV as well (NUIG). Unfort that was the only date we could get due to our usual date in Jan been taken from us by college polictics. Apologies for that again and it won't happen next year. We will be booking our normal Jan slot as early as is humanly possible!

Yeah but NUIG told us last year about the sunday date which gave us plenty of time.

Has anyone been in contact with UCD apart from what's on their boards?

i agree with ewan, its not that hard to walk into a sports hall and book a date.
