It's pretty nice...the towns are a bit English (i.e. lots of 'English' bars and Chinese restaurants), but the countryside is lovely, hire a car and explore it. The best beach we found was at the south-eastern tip of the island, can't remember it's name, very pretty though. Nice mountain scenery, covered in olive groves to the west. A week is probably plenty there though I'd say, it's fairly small.

    Hi Dutz,
    we stayed here:

it was a pretty nice place, good views. The jeep is a good idea, the countryside is really nice to explore. The people seemed very friendly and the prices were good. everywhere seems cheap compared to here I think! You can take trips to the other islands too. We really enjoyed it, it's a good place to relax, particularly off-peak. If you go there, check out that beach I mentioned, I think it's called Garakas.

Hay, Know you have probably gone already but I've just come back from there and had a great time but steer well clear of laganos if you looking to relax.. really nasty lager lout strip. We ended up in Aragassi, it was fine, quite, good food very chilled.. great to relax but not a whole lot to do. had an great day at a place in Porto Koukla with a woman called Sue who does reiki. highlight of the trip. hope you had a good time!
