    Hi guys long time lurker. Please move if not the right place.

    I have been invited to an assessment centre in the UK for a major manufacturing and engineering company working in the aerospace sector. This is the line up...

    The Assessment Centre will include:

    * 2 hour Technical Assessment
    * Group Exercise
    * Business Scenario
    * Problem Solving Exercise
    * Interview with a representative from your target department
    * Retesting ability (numeric, verbal, logical).

    The interview is likely to consist of both competencies based questions and questions that relate to the recruiting business function.

    I really have no idea what to expect for the first four items, apart from the explanation in some of the directories such as Hobsons and Prospects. Could anyone shed some light on the type of scenarios I could be given and what skills are they looking to be demonstrated? Does anybody run these type of centres for their employer, how should I prepare?

    Sounds intimidating aswell, this job kind of attracts the cream of UK engineering graduates, how can I shine?
