Booting problem

    Have windows xp and last night when i tried to start the comp. a blue screen came up and said that the computer will not start do to unmountable_boot_volume.

    Can anyone tell me what to do with losing al the info on my comp.

    try starting your computer in SAFE MODE...pressing F8 at the startup....

    I think it is the file system that is damaged from my experience and using the link that CarefulNow posted, let us know how you get on.
