The Newbridge area is generally regarded as best price for kerosene due to 4 competitors in the area.

Current price is €509 for 1000 litres. - This is the lowest for several months. So a price in this region would be considered good. (Beats €679 I paid last year!)

Oil prices on the world markets have moved up in the past couple of weeks, from €52 to €59 so I doubt if kerosene will fall much further and it will probably increase by €20 / €30 in late feb.

Home heat world market price has increased from about 42 US cent to 48 US cent per litre in the last 2 weeks. ($1.67 per US Gallon (approx. 3.6 litres))
Current delivered price here is about 48c (euro) per litre + VAT @ 13.5%. Thus expect a rise of about 10% soon.

About last summer someone posted a website 'www.myhothouse.ie' for getting cheaper home heating oil. Anyone ever hear more about it? I registered but haven't heard a thing although they were meant to be up and running by September last. The website is still there but has not been updated. Anyone any info on this?
