it is possible to use an antenna to get a 3g signal?

    hi all,i am wondering can i get a 3g signal using an antenna,i think i am about 3 miles outside a 3g mast,would a 3g antenna finally get me broadband?also would i need los?thanks in advance!

    Yes. There's no guarantee that it will work, though there is a fairly good chance it will. Expect to pay about €100 for a high gain UMTS antenna and pigtail.

    Very handy for car or train where window might block signal

    Basically a 3G compatible car kit external aerial will work. Not GSM only car kit as that is a different wave band.
