Does anyone know of where you can get this done? My sister is running for Welfare Officer in her college for next year and she's trying to get the college to start printing stuff in Braille but she'll need to be able to present them with a budget and the like for them to even listen.

It would be a good idea to talk to someone in a College that already provides this service.

I used to work part time in UCD's Braille Office when I was a student there. I know Trinity have a similar service too.

There are special printers for Braille and you have to covert the text and do some manual formatting to make it readable in Braille. They would also need a good quality scanner too.

That's how it used to be anyway - there might be new software now to do all the formatting for you!

That sounds like a good place to start, cheers.

Try NCBI - It's not just a matter of having a Braille printer. You really need to have someone who can proof-read the Braille documents too.
