    Tribeca 1/2
    Hero BB with 197
    Villain UTG with 266

Not at table long but villain seems a bit donkish.

UTG limps with 3 others . I make it 9 to go with 10 10 in BB.
    Villain calls. 1 other caller.
    Pot 31
    Flop Ts Td 2d !!!!!!!!!
    I check. Its checked around

    Pot 31
    Turn is the Ad.
    I bet 8
    Villain raises to 24.
    I call

    Pot 79
    River 8h
    I bet 40
    Villain calls and mucks

How did i play this. I think i should have bet more on river. He prob calls a bigger bet with a flush. I was trying to get value from an ace with my half pot bet. Comments?

I think you bet too small on the turn.

Yeah bet 20 or so on the turn. this guy didn't think much about bet sizing, just pressed "2x" and raised, so a larger bet from you gets much more money in th e pot if he raises.

I doubt you lost much value on the river, though I think that most people who call for 40 call for 50 here.

I also would have raised much more preflop

Yeah the turn bet is essentially saying I have a big hand, especially when you flat call his raise. If you bet bigger it looks more like trip tens maybe trying to ensure a four flush doesn't hit, and you might even get raised on the river by a flush. But as played I think the river bet was OK.
