Anybody see the article in Selfbuild magazine about the Segal self build method of Post and Beam construction? It looks great. Guy built the whole house himself from scratch after doing a course. Took him a long time as he did most everything himself. The principle is that loads are carried by small timbers which are in turn carried by slightly larger pieces. A real old fashioned wooden house as opposed to all the TF! Any chippies out there ever tried anything like this?
