Problems with Skype

    I'm surprised there have not been any threads regarding problems with Skype ( at least I haven't noticed any).
    I have tried several times to renew credit with them but the credit card is rejected each time. They come up with a few possible reasons for this but none are applicable to my case.
    Has anybody else had similar problems? I know I am not the only one judging by their own forum.
    In the meantime I have tried Gizmo but there seemed to be a lot of echo.
    I am fairly new to all of this and I realise there are numerous set-ups but is there a particular VOIP set-up that anyone would recommend highly?
