Bad reception on MCE Live TV (NTL digital)

    Hi lads,

Im currently setting up a MCE PC, I have all the necessaries to get it working including a TV card and all the Jazz, However I do have a problem at the moment, I have NTL connected up to the TV card using S-Video and audio (L/R) cables through a scart converter, which does work but the reception is horrible, it's fuzzy and black and white for some reason.

Has anyone experienced this at all or even better does anyone know why this is and how to fix it????

    Thanks

Possibly you have your vid settings to ntsc instead of pal?
Or just a bad connection, but i assumed you have checked the connection by plugging it into a normal tv

We have a HTPC forum for these topics.

The problem stems from the little scart adapter your using they do not output s-video in colour in order to get colour you require a scart RGB to s-video converter. Or fall back to composite video.

I have written a more detailed thread on the topic in the HTPC forum.
