Not sure if this is posted in correct topic but anyway.

My sis got a new laptop this week (HP 510 M 2.13Ghz). She is going to Spain tomorrow and working there for 7 months. When I connected the laptop (just out of box) to my DSL ethernet (BT) line at home the internet appeared immediately....straight forward connection... my question is....will this be the same abroad for her or will there need to be some config changes etc???

Anyone with any experience in doing this? Any advice appreciated ...cheers.

Should be to be honest, most networks have a DHCP server and this will issue a IP address to your sisters laptop once its connected.

Depending on where she's connecting (internet cafe etc), their may be some network restrictions but she should be able to get assistance from a member of staff :)
