Need to transfer data from one hard drive to another.

    Ok folks i need some help here, i have a dell inspiron 2200, my hard drive is busted "no bootable devices" error message so did the usual diagnostics and hard drive is not present it says, so rang dell they're gonna send me out a new one, i re-seated the hard drive and i get another error saysing the following windows file c:/windows/........ is corrupt or missing,

    My question is how to i transfer data from this hard drive to the new one dell are gonna send me???

    Buy a 2.5 USB enclosure, I got one in town for €20. Then install the new drive in the laptop and put the old drive in the USB enclosure.

    Enclosure is probably the best idea, Komplett.ie have some for around 20 eurons. Peats, Maplin or Marx Computers if you are in Dublin will have some.
