I was playing a €150 rebuy live sat for open ticket earlier in the week, and was chip lead early on with 34k with average stack on 11k...played 3 hands and would like views if i played them good/bad as i busted out of the tournie after these 3 hands

hand1 - blinds are 150 & 300 and i am on the button... 1 player LP raises to 1000 and i pump to 2500 total with JJ, super aggressive looney tune (who i play with regurlalry) calls. flop comes 3x5x9x player bets all in (std enough for him with any 2) and pushes for a further 7k... his range could be anything and i put him on A 9... i call i loose he shows pocket aces arrggghh

hand 2 - blinds are 300 & 600 and i am MP and have AK with roughly 17k (still above avg) i raise to 1700 and BB reraises all in for approx 7k.... i put him on a small pair range 2's to 5's and knowing this is a possible coin flip i call...he turns over pocket 4's and i hit no ace or k...down to 10k

hand3- blinds are 500 & 1000 and i am in LP with KQ and raise to 2.5k only BB plays (loon as in hand 1) flop comes Kh 7h 3s he bets 2k and i protect my hand as i know i am ahead with an all in for 9k total... he calls on a flush draw and hits...el busto

my thoughts is that hand 1 played itself given cards and history with player... hand 2 i could have easily stayed away instead of a coin flip situation and hand 3 i do not see where i went wrong, i would be ineterested on peoples views on these 3 hands

You must have been gutted. This type of thing has happened to me a couple of times and you feel in a daze after it.

hand 1 - Loon played it well. From the sounds of it you never believe him. Against this guy you would have been happy going in pre no matter what (this is from what you said about him)

hand 2 - fair enough call. as at WORST it was a coin flip. He could have done the same with AQ \AJ

hand 3 - the loon again eh ? At this stage if you are going to raise it may as well be all-in or all out. The small raise has got you into trouble.

In general you gotta remember just cause somebody is a loon it doesnt mean they dont get good cards. Dont be expecting loons to put down cards with seedy raises.
One element which is apparanet in all is that in general your raises are fairly small. Throughout the tourney did you find people going over the top of you quite a bit and then you folded ?

hand 1 is unlucky given the players image. but does he call re-raises with any 2? if so wp and ul

hand 2. you gotta win races to win mtt's.

hand 3. you get it all in when your ahead so no mistake made. just bad luck that he hit his draw.

hands 2 & 3 could have gone either way, and 90% of the time your ahead pf in hand 1 so no problems with your play imo. unlucky

No in fact i think these may be the only 3 occasions where this happened... i had a solid image at the table and trapped customers early on with nut flush and flopped house so TBH the hands i played (that i showed) where all good, on all occasions i am nearly raising at least 3xtimes. The loon is a decent player but chases draws a lot so acually on hand 3 i had a feeling of this hence the all in to take it down there and then

I presume these hands weren't in succession??

Hand 1: I don't like the pre-flop re-raise. But I love how your opponent played his hand.

    Hand 2: Fine

    Hand 3: Fine

he could raise with small connectors or even ace 7 or below...he chases a lot when he is behind so all this factored in my desicion to go on this hand ul he had the rockets:mad:
