Channel 6 spring schedule

There is some PR stuff in Metro & Herald AM today about new programmes on Channel 6, including Heroes, & them getting on the SKY platform

I've Google-d and checked their own site but can't find any further detail.

Anyone here know more ?

you want to block it? I understand its not a great channel,mostly repeats of old american shows. But if it will have Heroes,then it is worth having for that alone.

I don`t understand why people give out about Channel 6? It does exactly what it says on the tin! It doesn`t try and be the greatest station in the world but it does have some good shows of its own and it has a lot of repeats from the beginning that people may not have seen. It is the only Irish channel with Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Trailer Park Boys and although lots of its shows are repeats, at least they start from the beginning and give good shows a decent time slot when they are repeating them. For instance I hadn't seen much of 24 but on Channel 6 I am able to catch up on everything I had missed and watch it every week as if it is new. And now it has Heroes which is great!

And their home produced programmes are much better than anything TV3 have delivered! In fact I would much rather have Channel 6 than TV3. I think it makes a great addition to the Irish TV channel line up and I can`t wait until Monday when I watch it on SKY and use SKY + with it.

The worst part is "Quiz Six" - the copy of Quizmania, where you phone them to answer a question (eg. whether the taoiseach is Bertie, Donald Duck or Kermit the frog) and spend €90 in the process. Then you win a smaller amount than what you spent on the call, if you get through at all.

They have axed that show. It lasted about a month.

The closer is also a great show very underrated this side of the atlantic.

Looking forward to Heros when does it start?

well I have never seen the channel,coudlnt get it before digital. but if it has re runs of 24, a new series of Heroes and Trailer park boys then it cant be half bad!

is it true about it being on Sky? I was wondering why Heroes hasn't cropped up on Irish TV yet.

That South Armagh is positively scary. You'd think they would be wary about portraying the place as a terrorist hangout...well that's the first and abiding impression you get from this huge blunder.

That Cheese ad with the "Can't live if living is without you" sound track is embarrassingly dumb.

Also, The Closer on Wed 07 Feb @ 21:30. All I know about that show is that the lead actress got the Emmy this year so that makes it worth a look.

I think this is the second series, they have already shown the first series. I think it is a very good Detective Series, definately worth the watch IMO.

Starts 1st of March on C6 - well timed since I can finally get the channel on Sky. At least they don't have any of those guess what I found on my epg radio ads that they have for Channel 4 - those seriously suck
