    Will it not delete normally?
What error are you getting when you try to delete?

Open up the "Terminal" application and type "rm -i " (note the space at the end). Drag the file you want to delete into the terminal window from Finder. Press return, and when it says "remove <filename>?" type 'y' and press return again.

Try holding down the Option key while you select Empty Trash.

There's also a bit of freeware called Force Delete that might do the trick. (I've never used it myself but it has some decent writeups on versiontracker.)
