On the show he was discussing the problems with the CAO website. People were being advised to use Firefox instead of IE to access the site. "I don't have a clue what Firefox is" says plank.

I heard that, I thought "get with the program" (sic)! Then I though he should be using Opera, then I thought "Christ! That means the CAO website is'nt optimised for IE", which is unusual.

I agree. I think you'd find that IE is still the most used browser amongst boards.ie users. Hardly shocking.

But as mike said, a govt site that only works properly in Firefox? Tres odd. Most of them are designed in Lotus Notes :D

Ah... that's what that was about.

I missed the beginning and he was reading out messages to do with the conversation on legal highs and in between all the comments was "Firefox is a superior alternative to Internet Explorer"

It just sounded like random spam from a Mozilla zealot.

Presume this is a split from another thread, and hence the confusion, but who is "Plank" ?

It's 'street slang' for Pat Kenny.

Huh?? I had it working in IE the other night when 'no one' could access it. Paid €37 and chose the courses for my brother no problem

But on topic, the plank is a plank tbh :)

I imagine if you conducted a street poll, 90 per cent wouldn't know what Firefox is.

Good auld Plank, always on the ball :D

Does he believe that Roger Federer would struggle to beat players from Fitzwilliam tennis club, when most professionals can't beat Federer
