it depends on personal taste. the main difference in the 36,36c and 36k is the barrel/forgrip length and the shape of the handle.

Harekin's bro has one. Actually he's started posting on here as Evolute. He has the Tokyo Marui g36C.

Would be the one I'd buy anyway.

classic army g36k would be what id go for, but you can get a G36 rifle, get a dual beta drum that holds 1500 bbs and bi pod and make it a support weapon, or a G36c for more CQB

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

Get the G36C, the G36 and the G36K are stupidely long and come with stupid standard optics. If you wanna really splash out buy the G36C, grenade launcher and red dot sight. THAT is a gun!

On a different note they have a sick accuracy and ROF.

Personal prefrence really, i like the look of the G36c because its Compact

    I own a TM G36c. I love it.
It's compact, but doesn't look (or feel small), it has great modifyability (you can always buy the G36K mod later if you want it).

The only thing I would add, if you're getting the G36c is to buy a larger undergrip rail and replace the exsisting one with that. That way you can then mount a tac-torch properly with plenty of space.

In short, my choice would be the Tokyo Marui G36c.

I think that was his way of getting around the censor. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭N.O.I.P.

Thats what I figured, my WTF was in reference to the fact that he felt the need to put it in at all. Why wouldnt he just say "japanese brand" unless he has some sort of problem with the japanese. Then again maybe I'm reading way to much into it after all I was ridiculously hung over when I read that :D

Dont worry N.O.I.P i thought the same thing :/

There are indeed some small differences between the TM G36c and the CA G36c:

The plastics used on the outer bodies are made from different composites, and dare I say it the TM would be more consistently reliable straight out of the box.

Although, CA have significantly boosted their QA in recent years and CA does come with a stronger spring. The CA has some rather unrealistic trades on it, but that is not too big an issue for most. Iirc the CA also comes with a hicap (450+ rounds but no imitation rounds) where as the TM comes with a locap (with imitation bullets and 50 rnd capacity).

All in all they each have their own pro's and cons, so you just need to decide what you want out of your purchase.

thx very much IronWolf, but one more Q, does TM make G36 and G36K? i only can see G36C on the self in TM cat.

Aside from the poor taste gHey bashing.

From what I have been reading (which is pretty much every scrap of the limited info out there) the CA version is coming out slightly ahead of the TM version on a few grounds.

Apparently it is sturdier, it has more metal and fires better out of the box. However, this only applies to the G36c since most folk arent buying the full fat options.

You have to ask yourself what you are going to use the gun for. running around corners in HRTA with a G36 will result in a smashed gun, the C model is perfect for it though. The K is somewhere in between but I suspect it will wind up being too long for CQB.

I would get the full G36, a bipod, a C-Mag (battery operated), a tight bore barrel and a Red Dot scope to unleash 6mm plastic death upon your enemy. But this because I want a support weapon.

I think the K would be OK for CQB with the stock folded. The G36 now is a different matter, that thing is 1 meter long.

As for the CA and TM versions, the TM has better low cap mags with fake rounds.

The TM C can be converted to the K and full versions and ends up with a more realistic weight.

The CA K and full size are too light at only 2.8kg when they should be 3 and 3.2kg.

I bought a K as a multirole rifle. It's short enough for cqb (with the but folded admittedly) but long enough to provide accuracy in a woodland or urban setting. I had intended to get the C but I saw it more as a CQB weapon only. My next choice will either be a C or an MP7 as a main CQB choice.

Admittedly though, it's first cqb outing will be this weekend at HRTA so I reserve final judgement on it's close abilities until then.

There is also STAR aswell that make all versions of the G36 like CA. The Star G36s cost more and seem to be on par or better than the CA versions.

The Star G36 comes with a 3.5x and red dot sight with a bi-pod. The CA G36 just has the 3.5x sight.

Looking at the reviews, the CA and Star versions are ahead of the TM G36C.
