Looks alright. Anyone have any recommendations? How quickly do films tend to sell out, and is the season ticket worth the price?

    I wanna see:

    Unknown
    Bon Cop, Bad Cop
    Naked Lunch
    Catch A Fire
    Fast Food Nation
    Tony Takitani
    Colour Me Kubrick
    Hard Core Logo

They have Sunshine! I have to get tickets for that.
Would it be too much to hope the surprise film is the Fountain?
A good line up none the less.
PS Tony Takiatani is on FilmFour right now.

    answer:
In 2004 the Surprise Film was the first screening in the world of Starsky & Hutch, and the year before, it was Buffalo Soldiers. Do you detect a pattern there? Or is there any point in trying to detect a pattern?

god I hope that isnt the pattern...unless of course the pattern is...good film. bad film. good film.

then yes...we might have a good surprise film on our hands.

Personnally I'm gonna grab a ticket to The lives of others...that looks like a great film.

The screening of Metropolis at the National Gallery with live music could be fun.

That was a good film but only for film nerds :)

I picked up a copy of the programme today... it's very nicely produced. It comes free with the €8 festival membership.

How much is a season ticket? Are there student rates? :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

No mention of student discounts I'm afraid.

A full season ticket is €200. You still wouldn't be able to see every film as there is a lot of overlap. Most of the screenings cost €9.

As far as I know theres a 10% discount for students. I got tickets for Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles and Tony Takitani. I would liked to go see 2:37 but it clashes with Tony Takitani :( Still Im sure I'll go to at least one more film before the fest is over!
