News Channel... Anyone notice.....

Anyone notice how much better the news channel looks in the states...
Look at the vid on IGN http://media.wii.ign.com/articles/759/759288/vids_1.html

Instead of regional news that we got, they have national news.

Also, they almost have a pic for every article. I've even viewed the same articles over here but none of the pictures that they got.

Most pics i've seen at any one time over here is about 4 max.

I heard talk of Ninty re-launching the news channel for Europe, Is this true?

I hope they improve it a little for us irish folks, like more Irish news and some more pictures.

Don't get me wrong, think the news channel is pretty good, just confused as to why the states can get all the photos for the articles and we cant!!! The photos can't be much bigger than a few kb's per photo!

Anyone else notice?????

Yeh, i was kinda disappointed with the lack of photograph in the skiing Pope (John Paul II) story a few days ago.

The lack of photographs don't really bother me, any kind of visual aid is a bonus in my opinion.

They get the stories from Associated Press. I don't know much about AP - perhaps they have an american bias/focus?

slightly off topic but i cant get the news channel to work, says i need an update to use it, it starts updating and says i already have the latest sofware for the WII so need no update
