    You're coming to Galway.
    You know Nora-Jane.

I find it funny how people (usually the blow ins!!) think that galway is just full of other blow ins and not locals! Thats just cause all you blow ins must hang out with eachother. Being from Galway all my life (and, yes my family have been here for well over 100 yrs) I find it hard to NOT find a person who's galway ancestrey doesnt stretch back over 100 yrs. There's this whole other side to galway that I dont really see that much and thats the blow in side. 90% of the people I know and am friends with here are locals. Galway is not just full of blow ins..... finding a galway accent is in no way hard here!

Well, I'm home now and even though I split up with my bf, and had loads of bad luck, I'd move to Galway tomorrow! The people are so nice there, and I adore the accent!

Holy crap - sounds like it was an eventful few days .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 75 ✭✭Kristinaxxs

Yeah it was, first of all, I leave my bottle of vodka an irish cream on the plane, then find my phone won't work over there, then I lose 35 euros, then my bf (now ex) leaves me in a strange club on my own, then it rains, just had 3 days of bad luck, but I still wanna move there!

then it rains, just had 3 days of bad luck, but I still wanna move there!

Thats not bad luck just normal. We get rain on approx 65% of the days here.

That would put a bad mood on any weekend, until you get to the offie and buy more.

Yeah it always is the whole West of Ireland is just a massive wheather breaker for them dublin folk. You're lucky you weren't here before the xmas, 38 consectutive days of rain.

Bit late now, but better for future reference; you'd've been so much better off staying a travel lodge or something. A lot cheaper I think (open to correction)

There's supposed to be a good hostel over Foxes. Most hostels do private on suite rooms as well as dorm. Better craic too.
