    hi

I was just wondering if any one knows where I can get the lead sticks for body filling.

Now I know most people will tell me that I should rather use the plastic fillers because lead is going to kill you and ........
but the lead will be used for filling the cars body and not for eating :D
also the main reason for wanting to use lead is that according to a bit of research I have done it seams to be a bit more waterproof than the plastic stuff

if any one can advice it will be appreciated

Wouldnt recomend it the stuff is very expensive, for a bar maybe 9 inches long it'd be around 10€ unless you used it before and are skilled in doing it i wouldnt recomend it,

it not like isopon, you need acetalyne bottles, grease and alot of it, and a wooden paddle, Lead Loading as it is called, nobody uses it anymore not when isopon is so cheap.

    Hi Guys,
Ah, you would be looking for this so.

    http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8788&frostProductName=Basic%20Solder%20Kit

You can also buy bars of solder/lead from the autofactors on the main street in Maynooth.

I have used isopon and personally i think its Sh*t ill rather go for pot putty (body filler as its call here) before i go for isopon ever again.

I know its not easy to use the lead but no part of restoring a car is easy and its one big learning curve going on here :D .

thanks torq ill check it out the next time i'm in Maynooth
