Was 3 tabling, doing nicely on all 3 when this hit on the most aggro table.

The villain in this piece had joined the table about 10 hands ago and tried to steal my SB when on the button.
I called, he raised the flop, I hit middle pair and reraised him, he folded.
In this time at the table he has not shown a hand and if he was watching I had shown a set in that time.

I believe my bet sizes are my biggest problem here and need advice on the correct line to play.
I know my turn bet was terrible but were the preflop and flop bets as bad?
Should the turn have been a check or a bigger bet?
I prefer not to hear words like "stupid" or "fish" but if you must then feedback to help me avoid being a repeat offender would be appreicated.:o

    Preflop is a good raise
And a good bet on the flop..is there a better way to find out how strong he is?
I think i would check the turn

You played it fine. I might just shove the turn though as his stack amounts to a PSB.

I would shove turn. If he has a nine or a house of sixes/jacks so be it, but it looks enough like a flush draw that pushing the turn is best. I think flop and pre-flop bet-sizing is fine.

His play looks like a busted draw that may have turned into two pair (nines and). You have to call the river.

    Results?

    PSB?

Think you played it grand to the turn gocall01. Turn bet was quite weak though. Shove like the lads said. Did he river a straight or boat?

    Thanks lads.
I knew after revising the hand histories the turn should have been check/call or push (really a push).
At the time the J really worried me for some reason, a gut feeling, don't know why.
This threw me and then I fluffed the bet on the turn...

Anyway suffice to say he had me "hooked" line and sinker!
-He had me on the turn-
