ISDN lost how to get it back?

I had ISDN on my computer, now it is not there! I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling software and capi controller, but still not able to get it working. The computer can see the hardware and has the software, but does not let me configure the software as it sometimes says the hardware not there, othertimes with trying to flashload the software it then suddenly says found new hardware - the isdn modem, and gets most of the way through the flashload to the "completing" stage then just stops.

Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong?
