Does anybody know a good place to look for engineering jobs? Most of the job websites are useless - they always have the same jobs posted, and alot of the jobs are posted by recruitment agencies (just looking to get as many cvs as possible!!).
I'm an electrical engineer, with 5 years experience in two different areas. I design control systems at the moment, and i want to stay in this area and hopefully get experience working with PLCs.

I know what you mean about recruitment agencies in general, but I came across a really good one for engineering

    try stelfox

I design chips, so not too easy for me to get a job in Ireland, especially if the recruiters you talk to think you're in IT. Luckily, at Stelfox I talked to a guy who specialised in engineering and even more so, my exact type of engineering. He knew what he was talking about and got me a cool job, as opposed to most of the other agencies that don't make the difference between engineering and IT.

Hope this helps and get a job soon

i'd recommend cpl and icds, they deal with most engineering companies, don't be afraid to talk to different agents within each agency. some are great some not so. if you want to stay in PLCs controls then look at some of the pharma jobs which can be in different sections on the job sites.
