Well exams are over and in a effort to go with my resolution of playing more live poker this year thought I would head in for a tournament tonight.
    So what is on offer?

I think a €75 double chance in the Emporium tonight. But there s a better tourny tommorrow night (thurs) in the Emp. €55 double chance i think. More runners tommorrow night. Between 60 80 generally

tonight in the SE is a scalp game, 40 + 10 + 5, with one rebuy for 40....
this is a pretty good tournie gets about 40 - 50 runners......

not sure about the fitz or the jackpot tonight - i'd recommend the Sporting...!

    Fitz has 20 rebuy - max 3 rebuys, or 2 rebuys + 1 top-up.

Getting about 40-60 runners in recent times.

Yeah the SE is definitely the best game tonight. Good structure and usually a decent prize pool.

ian, whats the structure? I might venture in for a rare occasion of live poker

Does the SE generally have dealers for the scalps or just the final table? How about the fitz tournament tonight? I'm all thumbs!

Dealers for all tourneys in the SE. I think the scalps is 20mins for first 4 levels and then they extend to 25 mins or half an hour. Cant remember. Plenty of play late on though.

I usually see plenty of big stacks there at 4am as I'm losing another buyin on the cash tables.

It doesn't seem to have its own website but as it's the home of the Merrion Club until they re-open "cough cough" you can get the schedule through http://www.merrioncasinoclub.com/

Ive never been there before myself so I might venture in for the sunday games for the Irish Open.

Thought that was a pretty rash move on your part Mick for all your stack, finished 5th myself. Ran 99 into Micks aces when short stacked. Was joint chip leader as FT formed, QQ first hand and then absolutely card dead til the death. Ran into a few big hands when looking to steal etc, wasnt to be.

Played pretty well throughout, no races bar the exit hand (which wasnt even a race). No scalps either, just palyed small ball all night. Good tourney.
